Strawberries
Strawberry refers to both a group of plants in the rose family and the fruit that they bear. The fruit is a sweet, red berry covered in seeds that can be eaten raw or cooked.

The modern strawberry originated in Europe. The earliest cultivated garden strawberries were grown in Brittany France in the mid-17th century. Their sweet flavor is suitable for preserves, desserts or juice drinks.
