Knotgrass
Knotgrass is known by several other names including Paspalum, Water Couch and Dallis grass. It is a perennial grass that grows throughout the warm regions of the world.
​
Its stems tend to grow taller than its surrounding grasses, with stalks containing seeds at their ends. In some regions it is considered invasive, in others it is grown for hay, lawn grass, and for medicinal uses. It is used to treat ailments of the nose, throat and urinary tract.
