Cherries
Cherries are a pitted red fruit that grow on trees of the Genus Prunus. They are thought to have originated in the middle east, specifically the Turkish region.

Cherries can be both sweet and sour and can cultivated to be eaten raw or cooked. They were first imported to Europe during the 17th century, and have been grown there since. Cherries can be grown in several places around the world, anywhere where is the summers are moderate and the winters are cold.
